The Proper Perspective on Voting

Posted by Chaplain Jeff Lucas on October 27, 2012 at 2:15 PM

Lets not make our vote from a single issue; agenda based. Our vote is not even about our faith. For government and politics fall in the realm of the principalities and powers of this world. We as Christians do not operate in this dimension. We operate in a far mightier dimension; that in which we fight evil and trust God in the outcome.

We vote because we are patriots. We are patriots of a wonderfully Grand Republic the likes of which has not been surpassed. Our vote should be cast for the one who can best adhere to the principles upon which our Republic was founded. Our vote should not be for the one who can best change the Constitution of the United States, but uphold not only the letter of its authority as well as the spirit of the intent in which it was penned.

Let the source documents of the founding of our Republic be the standard by which we compare the candidates. Compare each candidate to the Constitution, and even the Federalist Papers, then vote for the one who represents that model best.

Vote for American principles, not politics and agenda based issues.

God Bless our Great Republic and all who love her… the REAL her.
