As many of you may know, I have big desire to help out law enforcement. Being a Police Chaplain is something God has laid on my heart for a long time. I’m affiliated as a fraternal chaplain, but not with any agency in particular. It just so happens that a police officer that I volunteer with at church had fallen I’ll (not an LOD) and was in the hospital. I was able to give him one of our Thin Blue Line Old Rugged Crosses and lay hands on him in a prayer of protection and healing. It was my first opportunity to minister to a cop. God gave me so much joy over that visitation; I’m hooked! I know that chaplaincy can be way harder than a simple visitation. But, knowing the joy that it can bring certainly motivates me to step it up. I cant wait for the time when I can make some sort of a commitment to an agency or plant a chaplaincy in a department that needs the kinds of offerings a chaplaincy program can bring.
Thank you God for the opportunity to be a servant and minister to one of your finest in blue. Continue to work your wonder and healing in our Centurion’s life.
Be blessed, be safe!
